Nathan is a Percussion instructor currently employed with the Hough High School marching band and Paradigm Percussion indoor marching program as their Battery instructor. He has built up his skills in percussion through his time as a student at Hough High, through private lessons, participating in camps such as Western Carolina's Summer Symposium, Berklee College of Music's Percussion Weekend, and Carolina Crown's winter camp, but especially due to participating in WGI as a member of Revelation Percussion and Paradigm Percussion. He credits his abilities as a teacher to the following influential people: Gerardo Marti, W. Timothy Gallwey, Parker J. Palmer, Jackie Santos, Josh Montgomery, and Austin Thompson.
