Andrew Sokolowski graduated from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and currently resides in South Carolina while teaching in North Carolina as the band director of Monroe Middle School. In his teaching career, he has taught elementary general music, 4th and 5th grade band, middle school band, and high school band. One of his other specialties is teaching marching basics and techniques for competitive marching band. While maintaining his career as an instructor and trumpet player, he currently serves in the 208th United States Army Reserve Band as a Military Musician. Since 2015, he has performed in front of hundreds of thousands of people during special events, change of command ceremonies, military graduations, retirement ceremonies, funerals, military dining events, and many other performance settings. Andrew's military career as a trumpet player has taken him as far northwest as Anchorage, Alaska and as far southeast as Miami, Florida while performing everywhere in between. He has over a decade of experience performing in show bands, jazz ensembles, marching bands, rock bands, ceremonial bands, concert bands, trumpet ensembles, brass quintets, and wind ensembles.
